Box Score Virginia Union University's Ambryanna Moore led the Lady Panthers with 12 kills as VUU swept Pfeiffer University 25-19, 25-17 and 25-10 in the season opener on Saturday, September 2, in the first day of the Falcon Classic in Misenheimer, N.C.

Moore, a 5-10 junior from Elgin, S.C., collected her 12 kills on 16 total attacks, for a hitting percentage of .688.

VUU's A'rmaria Wright, a 5-6 sophomore from Arlington, Tex., led the Lady Panthers with 16 assists while teammate Jamaica Adams, a 5-4 sophomore from Dallas, Tex., led VUU with 12 defensive digs.

The Lady Panthers also showed off powerful serves, with Jayshil Oatley, a 5-8 sophomore from Kent, Wa., collected four service aces.

The win gives the Lady Panthers a 1-0 record.  VUU will play Brevard College at 11:00 a.m. and West Virginia State University at 1:00 p.m. on the second day of the Falcon Classic on Sunday, September 3, in Misenheimer, N.C.
