LINCOLN UNIVERSITY, Pa. – Virginia Union University volleyball dominated on the road Monday night, sweeping Lincoln (PA) 3–0 (25–14, 25–15, 25–11) at Manuel Rivero Hall.
The Lady Panthers (13–11 overall, 8–6 CIAA) turned in one of their sharpest performances of the season, hitting an impressive .306 as a team while holding Lincoln to a negative percentage.
Junior
Alana Simmons led the way with a match-high 11 kills and 8 digs, hitting .526.
Aireanna Johnson and
Madison Hill each added 6 kills, while
Ashlee Franklin directed the offense with 23 assists and 16 digs. Franklin also delivered 4 service aces.
Alexandra Perot chipped in 5 kills and a solo block.
Defensively, VUU recorded 46 digs and 4 total blocks, limiting Lincoln (1–24, 0–14 CIAA) to just 10 kills for the entire match.
