2019-20 VUU SAAC Cabinet
Members of SAAC (Student-athlete advisory committee) represents their team in a monthly
forum to discuss ideas and issues pertinent to the success of the VUU athletics program. This
forum provides the representatives the opportunity to offer input regarding Life skill programs,
athletic department polices, conference regulations, and NCAA legislation that impact
student- athletes.
What is SAAC?
Student athlete advisory committee is made up of student athletes assembled to provide
insight on the student-athlete experience. The student Athlete Advisory Committee offers input
of the rules and regulations and polices that affect student-athletes lives on NCAA member
institution campuses.
Mission Statement
The mission of CIAA SAAC is to be a cohesive voice for all of its student-athletes by promoting
a positive image. CIAA SAAC collaborates and enhances the overall personal and professional
experience within their respective sport and institution. This includes the areas of leadership,
mentorship, diversity, inclusion, academics, and community engagement. Ultimately, the CIAA
SAAC aspires to bridge the gap between student-athletes, general body, and the community
as a whole.

The social media committee is responsible to update and maintain all social media platforms.
They are required to get or take pictures for all SAAC events and sporting events.
Requirements: to be elected on the social media committee you have to be a active member
of SAAC for one year.
