BOWIE, Md. (October 30, 2025) — Virginia Union University volleyball delivered a commanding performance Thursday night, sweeping Bowie State University 3-0 (25-18, 27-25, 25-19) at A.C. Jordan Arena. The victory marks VUU's 13th win of the season — the most for the Lady Panthers since the 2017 team recorded 15 victories.
Junior outside hitter
Madison Hill led the charge with 11 kills, five service aces, and three total blocks, finishing with a match-high 18 points.
Maria Peña and
Alexandra Perot each tallied six kills, while
Ashlee Franklin orchestrated the offense with 28 assists, adding five aces and seven digs.
Aireanna Johnson and
Alana Simmons combined for 11 kills and 10 digs to round out a balanced team effort.
The Lady Panthers posted 36 kills, 13 service aces, and six team blocks, holding Bowie State to a .067 hitting percentage across the three sets.

VUU improves to 13-11 overall and 7-6 in CIAA play.
