Box Score Virginia Union University's Taylor White and Arianna Bethel had eight kills apiece as VUU defeated Pfeiffer University 25-18, 25-8, 25-13 on Sunday, September 4, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

The win raised VUU's record to 3-0 on the season, marking the first time a Lady Panther volleyball team has started the season with three wins in three games since 1998, a span of 18 years.

VUU's A'rmaria Wright had 16 assists while teammate Esha Atkins collected 15 assists.

Virginia Union's Akira Baker led all players with 13 defensive digs and Jamaica Adams added five service aces.

Pfeiffer fell to 0-4 on the season with the loss.

Virginia Union now travels to Buena Vista, Va., to play Southern Virginia University and Concord University on Tuesday, September 13.
