Virginia Union University's women's volleyball team suffered three losses on the first day of the CIAA Tournament at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Va., on November 5.  The three losses spelled the end of the 2010 season for the Lady Panthers.

In the first match of the day, VUU's Aisha Berkley and Brianna Cunningham had four kills apiece, but Saint Augustine's College downed VUU 25-11, 25-19, 25-14.  Berkley had six defensive digs while Brittanee Adams had six assists.

In the second match of the day, Berkley had 10 kills, but Chowan University downed the Lady Panthers 25-10, 25-8, 25-23.  Adams had 11 assists and Jessica Thompson had seven defensive digs.

In the final match, Winston-Salem State University stopped VUU 25-12, 25-19, 25-13 despite Adams' 12 assists.  VUU's Lashira Williams had six digs in the match.

The losses gave VUU a final 2010 record of 8-21.
