Virginia Union University's Alana Simmons and Jade Lane have been named to the 2024 All-CIAA Team Volleyball Team, the CIAA announced on Friday, November 22.

Simmons, a sophomore outside hitter from Upper Marlboro, Md., who is majoring in Computer Information Systems, became the first Lady Panther since 2018 to be named First Team All-CIAA.  led the team with 247 kills and 51 service aces.

Lane, a graduate student who is a middle blocker/right side hitter from Lynchburg, Va., and who is majoring in Mass Communications, was named Second Team All-CIAA led VUU with 25 blocks while also gathering 146 kills.

"I am so proud of Alana and Jade for being named to the All-CIAA team," said VUU Head Volleyball Coach Danielle Perry.  "They worked hard all season and I am grateful the conference saw that hard work."
