A total of 61 student-athletes received their Bachelors' Degrees at the 123rd Commencement Ceremony, held on Saturday, May 7, at Hovey Stadium in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Hayden Garcia, a member of the Panther Golf Team who majored in Biology, was the class salutatorian with a grade point average of 4.01.

Social justice leader and movement strategist Tamika D. Mallory delivered the commencement address.

"We are proud of the determination and perseverance that our student-athletes showed as they capped their undergraduate careers," said VUU Vice-President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Community Wellness Joe Taylor.  "They embody what we mean when we say ACCOUNTABILITY, CONSISTENCY and TEAMWORK!  you have prepared yourselves to impact your communities and this country in a positive way, continued success. IACW is very proud of you!!"
