Highlighting the ceremony was graduating senior Christal Anise Rolack, a member of the 2026 VUU women's track & field team, who earned the distinction of Valedictorian for the Class of 2026.

Rolack, a Psychology major, also received the prestigious Ada Foster Fisher Award and completed her academic career with a 4.02 grade-point average.

"We are proud of the determination and perseverance that our student-athletes showed as they capped their undergraduate careers," said VUU Vice-President for Intercollegiate Athletics and Community Wellness Joe Taylor. "They embody what we mean when we say ACCOUNTABILITY, CONSISTENCY and TEAMWORK! You have prepared yourselves to impact your communities and this country in a positive way. Continued success. IACW is very proud of you!!"

The graduating class marks another milestone year for Virginia Union Athletics, as student-athletes continued to excel both competitively and academically while representing the Panther tradition with distinction.
