Box Score Virginia Union University's Esha Atkins tied the school-record with 42 assists as the VUU women's volleyball team swept Lincoln (Pa.) University 25-6, 25-14, 25-21 on Monday, October 26, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Atkins' 42 assists in three games tied the school record for a three-game match, originally set by Lenka Stejskalova against Fayetteville State University in 2005.

VUU's Fernanda Faustino had 12 kills and 22 defensive digs while teammate Ambryanna Moore had 13 kills.

Virginia Union's Arianna Bethel had 12 kills and Natalia Gascot had 15 defensive digs.

The win raised VUU's record to 8-9 overall and 6-4 in CIAA play.  Lincoln dropped to 5-9 overall and 4-7 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now travels to Shippensburg, Pa., to face Shippensburg University at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 28.
