Virginia Union University's Aisha Berkley had 15 kills while teammate Victoria Parks had 11 kills as the Lady Panthers defeated Virginia State University for the first time since 2006 25-15, 25-20, 21-25, 25-22 on October 14 in Petersburg, Va.

VUU's Ellie Parsons had 15 defensive digs and Berkley had 12 digs.  

Virginia Union's Demi Schrader had 33 assists in the win.

The win raised VUU's record to 7-16 overall and 7-6 in CIAA play.  Virginia Sate drops to 10-13 overall.
