Women's Volleyball Story Provided by the VUU Office of Sports Information

Lady Panthers Cage Lincoln (Pa.) Lady Lions, 3-1

RICHMOND, VA – The VUU Lady Panthers defeated the Lady Lion of Lincoln University 3-1 on Tuesday evening, capturing their first non-conference victory of the season. The win lifts Virginia Union's record to 6-13 overall. A dynamic duo of Lashira Williams and Stephanie Bell led VUU's offensive efforts, each adding 11 kills. Williams added a game-high 16 digs in her efforts. 
Setter Brittanee Adams anchored the Lady Panthers, dishing out 32 assists in the contest. Aleesha Woodruff also had a solid performance for VUU, posting 8 service aces and 9 digs. 
Lincoln (Pa.) was led by Donneisha Smith 10 kills and 14 digs in the contest.
