VUU Flag Football to Enter CIAA Championship as #1 Seed

Charlotte, NC (April 9, 2025) — The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) is proud to announce the inaugural CIAA Flag Football Championship, set to take place April 11–12, 2025, at Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, North Carolina. This groundbreaking event marks a historic milestone as the CIAA becomes one of the first NCAA Division II conferences to host a championship in women's flag football. Eight teams will compete in the two-day tournament, with all games. streamed LIVE on the CIAA Sports Network.

Virginia Union University will enter the championship as the #1 seed with a 4-2 record.  The Lady Panthers will meet Bluefield State University in the first game of the championship tournament.

Semifinals – April 12, 2025
  • Winner of Game 1 vs. Winner of Game 4 | 12:00 p.m.

Championship – April 12, 2025
