Virginia Union University's women's tennis team hosted Elizabeth City State University on Saturday, April 5, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
Unfortunately, the Vikings defeated the Panthers 4-2 in the match. There were two defaults, and VUU gained more wins in games than the prior match against the Vikings on March 11.
"I am very proud to say that we played extremely well today, and the improvement on different techniques really showed in today's match" said VUU Hear Tennis Coach Gerri "Gigi" Carter-Thurston. "As we begin to play better and better we are showing the other schools that we are not playing! Go Panthers!" Â
Virginia Union will now travel to Bluefield, W.V., to face Bluefield State University on Tuesday, April 8.
