Tennis Falls to Bluefield State 6-0, 6-0

The Virginia Union University women's tennis team faced Bluefield State University on Wednesday, April 9, in a double-header, falling 6-0. Despite the losses, the Lady Panthers were able to appreciate the stunning mountain scenery and perfect weather during the matches.

Head Coach Gerri "Gigi" Carter-Thurston shared her thoughts on the game:

"My assistant coach, Kotto, and I made some adjustments in the rankings and gave Bluefield a tough challenge. Each player walked off the court feeling good about their performance and the progress they've made. I'm incredibly proud of their efforts, and if you come out to their next match, you'll see just how much they've improved. Go Lady Panthers!"

Next match: Saturday, April 12, at 1:00 p.m. at Battery Park in Richmond, VA.
