The Virginia Union University women's tennis team played a tough match against Elizabeth City State University on Tuesday, March 11, in Elizabeth City, N.C..

Unfortunately, Elizabeth City State defeated the Lady Panthers 7-0 in the match.

"Our Lady Panthers fought hard against Elizabeth City," said VUU Head Tennis Coach Gerri "Gigi" Carter-Thurston. "Ga'Leisha Miller almost had a win at (6-7,4-6) and I know that several other girls were close, so we will keep fighting and every match we play we are getting better and better as a young team.  I am very proud of my ladies! Go Panthers!"

VUU will now travel to Bowie, Md., to compete in the 2025 CIAA Tennis Roundup on March 15 and 16.
