Trio of Panthers Earn All-CIAA Honors

Virginia Union University's Ny Langley was named to the CIAA Women's Basketball All-CIAA Team while VUU's Travis Vaughn was named to the CIAA All-Rookie Team and Tahj Harding was named to the Men's Basketball All-CIAA Team.

Langley led the Lady Panthers with a 14.4 points per game scoring average.

"Ny is truly making the best of her time at VUU," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "She transferred to us from a Division 1 program, leads our team in pts, and rebounds, and is on top lists in the conference and still remains one of the most humble people we know. I think the recognition is undeniable and she deserves the CIAA honors she has received. We are looking forward to her performance in her last CIAA tournament as a Panther. It is bittersweet but we are so happy for her and know she will continue to do great things in life."

Harding led the VUU men's team with a scoring average of 18.8 points per game.

Vaughn averaged 6.2 points per game in his freshman year.

"I'm really happy for Tahj and Travis," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach Jau Butler.  "I watched both of them get better throughout the season.  We are blessed to have two good student athletes like Tahj and Travis that we can build around the next couple of years."
