"IUP played a great game," said VUU Head Men's Basketball Coach
Jay Butler. "I thought we got off to a good start, but IUP is a well-coached team. They're a very disciplined basketball team. Moore shot the ball extremely well for them in the first half. I thought we did a good job defensively in the second half. It enabled us to take the lead in the second half and let us pick up some momentum, but when you're playing against good basketball teams like that you've got to take care of the basketball down the stretch. You've got to execute on each possession, and that was crucial for us, but they just made a couple of more plays down the stretch."
Despite the loss, the Panthers completed one of their strongest seasons in recent years, finishing with 25 wins and earning a berth in the NCAA Atlantic Region Tournament.
