Virginia Union University's Ny Langley and Taniah Johnson have been named Pre-Season All-CIAA, it was announced at the CIAA Basketball Media Day on Monday, September 26, in Baltimore, Md.

Langley, a junior forward from Greenville, N.C., who is majoring in Criminal Justice, led the Lady Panthers in scoring with a 13.3 points per game average last season and averaged 6.8 rebounds per game.  She scored a career-high 30 points against Shaw University on January 29.

"Taniah Johnson and Ny Langley worked extremely hard for this preseason recognition last season and this summer," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "We are very proud of these young women and very humbled by this preseason honor."

Virginia Union was picked to finish seventh overall and fourth in the Northern Division of the CIAA.

VUU tips off the 2022-23 season when it travels to Wilmington, N.C., to play the University of North Carolina Wilmington in an exhibition game at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 29.
