The Lady Panthers showed resilience down the stretch, cutting into the margin and continuing to compete on both ends of the floor.
"Hats off to Fayetteville State," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Alico Dunk. "They played a heck of a game tonight. They had a great game plan, and they executed it well throughout the entire game. We dug ourselves a hole that we couldn't really get out of. But I'm proud of my kids because they didn't quit. We fought to the end."
With the loss, Virginia Union concludes the 2025-26 campaign with a 17-9 overall record.
