Box Score Virginia Union University's Taniah Johnson scored 20 points, but Elizabeth City State University defeated the Lady Panthers 81-57 on Thursday, January 27, in Elizabeth City, N.C.

VUU's Ny Langley had 11 points while teammate Ymani Breedlove had nine rebounds to lead the Lady Panthers on the boards.

"Elizabeth City played tough tonight and is a strong, post-dominant team," said VUU Head Women's Basketball Coach Tierra Terry.  "Tonight we did not match their energy on the low block and allowed too many points in the paint. Ymani Breedlove and Ny Langley led the team in rebounds, but we needed every extra possession and missed some opportunities. We had two people in double digit scoring tonight but we need even more to get that offensive edge. We will review, learn, and grow as we prepare for Shaw."

VUU will face Shaw University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 29, at Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
