Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Virginia Union University's Daionna Wright drove in two runs, but Chowan University swept the Lady Panthers in a softball double-header 12-3 and 8-1 on Sunday, April 15, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

Wright drove in Kimberly Davis and Ro'Shaila Williams in the fifth inning of the first game.

VUU's Shontel Williams struck out seven batters in three innings of work.

In the second game, Linnette came on in relief of Bréana Miller and again struck out seven batters in 4.1 innings of work.

VUU's Annie Brenner drove in the Lady Panthers lone run in the second game.

The losses dropped Virginia Union's record to 13-8 overall and 8-6 in the CIAA.  Chowan is now 23-12 overall and 12-0 in CIAA play.

The Lady Panthers wrap up the 2018 regular-season when they travel to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University in a double-header on Saturday, April 21, at 12:00 p.m.
