Virginia Union University's women's tennis team defeated Fayetteville State University in the finale of the 2018 regular season 7-2 on Saturday,April 14, in Fayetteville, N.C.

VUU's Sabrina Connor and Kyra Smylie won at #1 and #2 singles, respectively, by identical 8-1 scores.

Virginia Union's Michaela Mondesir won at #4 singles 9-7  while Zsakee Crocker won at #6 singles 8-6.

The Lady Panthers also swept all three doubles matches, including a hard-fought 9-8 win by the #2 doubles team of Amirah Eckles and Zsakee Crocker.

VUU now prepares for the 2018 CIAA Championship, to be held April 19-21 in Bowie, Md.  The Lady Panthers will enter the Championship as the #2 team in the Northern Division of the CIAA.
