Box Score Virginia Union University's Shontel Linnette tossed a no-hitter as the Lady Panthers swept their double-header against Washington Adventist University on Sunday, March 25, in Takoma Park, Md.

VUU won the first game 11-1 and then beat the Shock on Linnette's no-hitter 15-0.

The no-no was the second of Linnette's career at VUU.  She no-hit Livingstone College on April 11, 2017.

In the first game, Linnette picked up the win while striking out 11 and allowing only two hits.  VUU's Daionna Wright slammed a home run while Linnette drove in three runs on two hits.

In the second game, Linnette struck out eight while allowing no hits over six innings.  She also drove in four runs on three hits, including a triple.

On the day, Linnette struck out 19 batters while driving in seven runs.

The wins raised VUU's record to 8-5.  Virginia Union now travels to Bluefield, W.Va., to face Bluefield State College in a double-header on Saturday, March 31.
