Virginia Union University's women's tennis team earned its second CIAA win of the season when the Lady Panthers defeated Bowie State University 7-2 on Saturday, March 17, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Sabrina Connor won at #1 singles 8-1 while Kyra Smylie won at #2 singles 8-3.

Virginia Union's Michaela Mondesir won at #4 singles while teammate Amirah Eckles won at #5 singles.  VUU's Zsakee Crocker rounded out the singles wins at #6 singles.

On the doubles side, the team of Connor/Smylie won at #1 doubles 8-1 while the team of Logan Reid/Mondesir won at #3 doubles 8-0.

Virginia Union now travels to Greensboro, N.C., to face Greensboro College on Monday, March 19.
