Box Score Virginia Union University's Alexis Johnson scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, but Chowan University upset the Lady Panthers 85-79 on Saturday, February 3, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

The loss snapped the school-record 20-game winning streak that the Lady Panthers had been on.

VUU's Rachael Pecota scored 19 points while Shameka McNeill added 10 points.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 20-2 overall and 10-1 in CIAA play.  Chowan is now 16-4 overall and 8-2 in the CIAA.  Both teams now have identical 4-1 divisional records.

Virginia Union now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 7.
