Shareka McNeill scored 24 points as the Lady Panthers surged to an 69-66 overtime win against Belmont Abbey College on Saturday, November 17, in Belmont, N.C.
VUU's
Jasmine Carter scored six of the eight Lady Panther points in overtime to finish with 12 points to keep VUU undefeated at 3-0.
Virginia Union and Belmont Abbey finished regulation tied 61-61, but the Lady Panthers outscored the Crusaders 8-5 in the overtime period.

VUU's
Kishona Sutton and
Nicole Floyd both scored in double figures with 10 points apiece.
The win raised Virginia Union's record to 3-0 while Belmont Abbey fell to 2-2.
Virginia Union now hits the road as the Lady Panthers travel to Florida over the Thanksgiving break. VUU will face Palm Beach Atlantic University on Wednesday, November 21, in West Palm Beach, Fla., and will then compete in the Nova Southeastern Thanksgiving Classic on November 24 and 25.
