Alexis Johnson continued her stellar week by tying the school record with seven blocks to go along with 18 points and 17 rebounds as the Lady Panthers won their 14th straight game, beating Saint Augustine's University 104-57 on Monday, January 8, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
The game marked the second time in Johnson's career at VUU that she garnered seven blocks in a single game. She first did it against Lincoln University on January 21. 2017. Lady Walker and Shawanda Geter both had seven blocks in single game during their Virginia Union playing careers.
It also marked the second straight game in which Johnson had 17 rebounds. In the last three games, Johnson has scored 73 points and grabbed 50 rebounds.
Virginia Union's "twin terrors" of Shameka and
Shareka McNeill also put on a scoring show. Shameka scored 17 points while sister Shareka scored 15 points.

Rejoice Spivey dished out a team-high nine assists.
The win raised Virginia Union's record to 14-1 on the season and 6-0 in the CIAA. Saint Augustine's fell to 4-11 overall and 1-5 in the CIAA.
Virginia Union now prepares to host CIAA arch-rival Virginia State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
