Shameka McNeill scored 13 points to lead VUU to an 84-54 win over the University of the District of Columbia on Monday, January 15, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
The win was the 16th straight for the Lady Panthers, the second-longest current streak in the nation. Only Ashland University's 54-game win streak is longer than VUU's.
The 16-game win streak is also the second-longest in VUU women's basketball history. Only last season's 18-game win streak is longer than the current streak.

Alexis Johnson added 12 points while teammate
Rachael Pecota scored 10 points in the win.

Jasmine Carter tied for high-rebounding honors with seven boards apiece.
Virginia Union's
Rejoice Spivey dished off a career-high 13 assists. Spivey's 13 assists are the fifth-highest single-game total in the nation this season.
The win lifted VUU to 16-1 this season while also placing the Lady Panthers to #2 in the Atlantic Region.
UDC fell to 2-15 on the season.
Virginia Union now faces Bowie State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 20, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
