Virginia Union University's Shontel Linnette tossed the first no-hitter in VUU history as the Lady Panthers defeated Livingstone College 14-0 in the second game of the CIAA Round-Up on Tuesday, April 11, in Raleigh, N.C.

Linnette struck out six and allowed just one base runner, who reached on an error.

Linnette also slammed a two-run homer in the bottom of the second inning.

VUU's Ro'Shaila Williams and Breanna Miller also slugged home runs in the win.

Virginia Union lost the first game of the day, 8-1 against Saint Augustine's University.

The Lady Panthers are now 7-14 overall and 6-8 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union travels to Bluefield, W.V., on Wednesday, April 12, to face Bluefield State College in a double-header.
