Box Score In what could have been a preview of the CIAA Tournament championship game, the two divisional leaders, Virginia Union University and Johnson C. Smith University, met in in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall on Wednesday, February 1, in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Brittany Jackson scored a game-high 25 points to lead the Lady Panthers to a 67-53 win over the Golden Bulls.

Virginia Union's Lady Walker notched her 13th double-double of the season with 16 points and 13 rebounds in the win.

VUU's Alexis Johnson also grabbed 13 rebounds in the game.

The win raised VUU's record to 19-1 on the season and 10-1 in the CIAA.  

Johnson C. Smith, the CIAA Southern Division leader, fell to 15-6 overall and 8-3 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now hosts CIAA arch-rival Virginia State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 4, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
