Box Score Virginia Union University's Brittany Jackson scored a game-high 25 points and led the team with nine rebounds and five assists, but Chowan outlasted the Lady Panthers 83-79 on Saturday, February 18, in Murfreesboro, N.C.

The loss means that Chowan will be the champion of the Northern Division of the CIAA.  VUU should enter the CIAA Tournament as the #2 seed in the Northern Division.

VUU's Rachael Pecota scored a season-high 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds in the game.

Virginia Union's Alexis Johnson scored 12 points in the game.

The loss gives the Lady Panthers a final regular-season record of 22-3 overall and 13-3 in the CIAA.

Chowan is now 17-9 overall and 10-6 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union begins play in the 2017 CIAA Tournament on Wednesday, February 22, at Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, N.C.
