Box Score Virginia Union University's Jemal Smith scored 12 points and dished off 10 assists as VUU defeated Bluefield State College 79-66 on Saturday, December 9, in Bluefield, W.V.

VUU had four players place in double-figures.  In addition to Smith, William Jenkins led the Panthers with 16 points, Todd Hughes scored 14 points and Kory Cooley added 10 points in the win.

Hughes also led the Panthers on the boards with eight rebounds while Jenkins pulled down seven rebounds.

The win evened VUU's record at 5-5 while Bluefield State fell to 3-5 on the season.

Virginia Union now travels to Athens, W.V., to face Concord University at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, December 11.
