Alexis Johnson scored 18 points while teammate
Shareka McNeill added 12 points as the Lady Panthers defeated Catawba College 88-58 on Saturday, December 30, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
The win was the 11th straight win for VUU, which now stands at 11-1 on the season.
The win also marked the first time in history that the Lady Panthers have had three consecutive seasons with a winning streak longer than 10 games. Last year's team won 18 straight games while the Lady Panthers won 15 straight games in 2015-16.
The win was a total team effort as the Lady Panthers had five players reach double-figures in scoring and a sixth getting nine points.

Rejoice Spivey and
Rachael Pecota each scored 11 points while Spivey dished out eight assists.
Virginia Union's
Jasmine Carter scored 10 points while leading the Lady Panthers with seven rebounds in the win.

Catawba dropped to 6-6 on the season.
Virginia Union will now play Shaw University at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
