Box Score Virginia Union University's Shareka McNeill scored a team-high 19 points as the Lady Panthers defeated CIAA defending champion Johnson C. Smith University 66-61 on Monday, December 18, in Charlotte, N.C.

McNeill and her sister, Shameka McNeill were playing in front of their hometown crowd for the first time since signing with VUU.

Shameka McNeill scored nine points in the win.

VUU's Rachael Pecota added 10 points, eight rebounds and six steals in the win.

Virginia Union's Rejoice Spivey dished off a team-high five assists while Alexis Johnson added nine points.

The win was the 10th straight for the Lady Panthers and raised VUU's record to 10-1 overall and 3-0 in CIAA play.  Johnson C. Smith fell to 9-3 overall and 2-1 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now returns home to face Catawba College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
