Box Score Virginia Union University's Kory Cooley 19 points, but Virginia Commonwealth University defeated the Panthers 98-74 in an exhibition match-up at the Siegel Center in Richmond, Va.

VUU's Devin Moore added 16 points while teammate William Jenkins added 11 points.

Virginia Union's Todd Hughes scored 10 points to round out the double-figure scoring.

Moore also had nine rebounds to lead the Panthers on the boards.

Cooley led VUU with five assists.

Virginia Union opens the regular season when the Panthers travel to Shippensburg, Pa., to play in the Wolf Bus Lines Classic.  VUU will face Lock Haven University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10 and will then face host Shippensburg University at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 11.
