Box Score PHOTO GALLERY | Virginia Union University's Rachael Pecota scored 22 points and hauled down 15 rebounds as VUU defeated the University of Charleston 63-53 on Tuesday, November 14, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

VUU overcame some stone-cold first-half shooting with a defense which forced Charleston to commit 22 turnovers.

Virginia Union's Shareka McNeill scored nine points while VUU's Alexis Johnson and Kishona Sutton scored eight points apiece.

The win raised the Lady Panthers' record to 2-1 while Charleston fell to 0-1.

VUU now travels to Rochester, N.Y., to play in the Redhawk Alumni Classic.  The Lady Panthers will face host Roberts Wesleyan College at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, November 17 and will then play Daemen College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 18.
