Box Score Virginia Union University's Jayda Luckie scored 20 points while teammate Lady Walker grabbed 20 rebounds as the Lady Panthers defeated Fayetteville State University 73-50 on Saturday, January 7, in Fayetteville, N.C.

The win kept the third-ranked Lady Panthers undefeated at 12-0 and 3-0 in CIAA play.

VUU's Alexis Johnson scored 19 points while also grabbing seven rebounds.

"We got off to a little bit of a slow start," said Head Coach AnnMarie Gilbert.  "But we were still able to hold Fayetteville State to 50 points and win by a pretty good margin, despite Lady Walker not having her best night shooting.  But she still grabbed 20 rebounds"

The loss dropped Fayetteville State to 3-10 overall and 2-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union will now travel to Raleigh, N.C., for the final game of the road trip, a 5:30 p.m. match-up with Saint Augustine's University on Monday, January 9.
