Box Score Virginia Union University's Lady Walker had 27 points and 14 rebounds while Rachael Pecota poured in 16 points to power the Lady Panthers to a 91-64 win over Shaw University on Thursday, January 5, in Raleigh, N.C.

Walker hit 13 of 19 shots from the field while Pecota hit four three pointers in the win.

VUU's Jayda Luckie scored 15 points while teammate Rejoice Spivey scored nine points and dished off six assists.

Virginia Union scored 30 points in the fourth quarter as the Lady Panthers pulled away from Shaw in the first meeting of the two teams since the 2016 CIAA Championship game.

The win kept the Lady Panthers undefeated at 11-0 and 2-0 in CIAA play.  The Bears fell to 3-12 overall and 0-3 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Fayetteville, N.C., to face Fayetteville State University at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 7.
