Box Score In a hard-fought battle, Virginia Union University's
Lady Walker scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds as the Lady Panthers notched their 18th straight win of the season, defeating Elizabeth City State University 64-59 on Wednesday, January 25, in Elizabeth City, N.C.
Although VUU led 20-15 at the end of the first quarter, Elizabeth City State surged back to lead 30-24 with 2:19 left in the half. Only a six-point surge enabled the Lady Panthers to take a 30-30 tie at halftime.
At the opening of the second half, VUU went on a 19-10 run to take a 49-40 lead in the third quarter for the Lady Panthers' largest lead of the night.
Despite pulling to within three points in the fourth quarter, VUU never lost the lead again as the Lady Panthers raised their record to 18-0 on the season overall and 9-0 in the CIAA.

Jayda Luckie scored 14 points while teammate
Alexis Johnson added 10 points.
Elizabeth City State fell to 4-11 overall and 2-7 in the CIAA.
Virginia Union now returns home to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to face Chowan University in a key CIAA Northern Division match-up at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, in Richmond, Va.
