Box Score Virginia Union University's Brittany Jackson led the Lady Panthers with 30 points as VUU defeated Bowie State University 77-70 on Wednesday, January 18, in Bowie, Md.

The win was the 16th straight for the Lady Panthers as they became the first VUU women's team to start the season 16-0.

VUU's Lady Walker scored 14 points while she and Jamika Ruffin led the team with eight rebounds.

Ruffin also scored 14 points.

The Lady Panthers are now 7-0 in the CIAA while Bowie State fell to 14-3 overall and 6-2 in CIAA play.

Virginia Union now returns home to Historic Barco-Stevens Hall to face Lincoln (Pa.) University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 21, in Richmond, Va.
