Virginia Union University's Sabrina Connor, Logan Reid and Amirah Eckles all won their singles matches, but Salem International University edged out VUU 5-4 in women's tennis at Battery Park in Richmond, Va., on Thursday, March 17.

Connor won her match 6-1, 6-0 while Reid won 6-4, 6-4.  Eckles won her match 6-3, 6-1.

The doubles team of Connor and Reid won at #1 doubles 8-2.

VUU's Lynda Kaneza lost 7-5, 6-2, 1-0 while Destiny Chapman lost 0-6, 6-7 (3), 1-0.

Virginia Union's Zsakee Crocker lost 6-1, 6-1.

The remaining Lady Panther doubles teams lost 8-3 and 8-3.

Virginia Union now hosts the VUU Round-Up, scheduled for March 19-20 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
