Virginia Union University's Anthony Michael won his singles match 6-2, 6-2, and won his doubles match with Lamar Richardson 8-5, but Salem International University defeated VUU 7-2 in men's tennis action on Thursday, March 17, at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.

Richardson lost his singles match 6-3, 7-6 while teammate Michael Smith lost 6-2, 6-4.

VUU's Kareem Burrows lost 6-2, 6-3 and Anthony Jones lost 0-6, 6-1, 1-0.

Virginia Union's Fanate Marr lost 6-3, 6-4.

VUU lost the remaining double matches 8-3 and 8-6.

Virginia Union now hosts the VUU Round-Up, to be held March 19-20 at Battery Park in Richmond, Va.
