Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 Virginia Union University's Taylor Hamilton slammed a two-run homer and drove in six runs as the Lady Panthers swept Elizabeth City State University 9-0 and 7-1 in a softball double-header on Sunday, February 28, in Elizabeth City, N.C.

Hamilton drove in three runs in the opener and then followed by driving in three more runs in the night-cap.

VUU's Jareece Sales struck out seven and allowed just one hit in recording her first shutout and win of the season while Shontel Linnette struck out six in the second game.

The wins evened VUU's record at 2-2 on the season.  The Lady Panthers travel to Raleigh, N.C., to compete in the Shaw Softball Challenge on March 5-6.
