Box Score Virginia Union University's Kiana Johnson broke the school's single-season assist record while also scoring 40 points as the Lady Panthers defeated Livingstone College 90-81 on Wednesday, February 3, in Salisbury, N.C.

Johnson dished off nine assists to give her 179 assists this season.  The previous record was 176 assists, set by Pria Stellmacher in the 2003-04 season.

It also marked the second time this season that Johnson has scored 40 or more points.

VUU's Taylor White had a double-double with 18 points and 12 rebounds.

Virginia Union's Lady Walker had 14 points while Rahni Bell added 12 points in the win.

VUU is now 17-2 overall and 9-2 in the CIAA.  Livingstone dropped to 11-9 overall and 6-5 in the CIAA.

Virginia Union now travels to Petersburg, Va., to face Virginia State University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6.
