Box Score Virginia Union University's Lady Walker set a new school record with 27 rebounds in a single game as the Lady Panthers defeated Bowie State University 91-55 on Wednesday, February 10, in Bowie, Md.

Walker had 10 offensive rebounds and 17 defensive boards in the win.

Walker eclipsed the old record of 26, set by Sylvia Walker against the University of North Carolina-Central in 1986.

Walker also scored 16 points to record her 12th double-double of the season.

VUU's Kiana Johnson scored 39 points in the win, giving her 577 points on the season.  Johnson is 10 points away from tying the all-time single-season scoring record of 587, held by Maquietta Randloph during the 1994-95 season.

Virginia Union's Rahni Bell added 13 points in the win.

The Lady Panthers are now 19-2 overall and 11-2 in the CIAA.  Bowie State dropped to 9-14 overall and 2-11 in the CIAA.

VUU now return home to face Lincoln University at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 13, in Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
