Lady Panthers Roll Over WSSU 83-56

Box Score Virginia Union University's Lady Walker had 22 points and 21 rebounds as the Lady Panthers rolled to an 83-56 win over Winston-Salem State University on Monday, February 1, in Winston-Salem, N.C.

It was the 11th double-double for Walker this season.

VUU's Kiana Johnson led all scorers with 33 points while also dishing off seven assists. Johnson now has 478 points this season. The school record for most points in a season is 582, held by Sylvia Walker in 1985-86.

Virginia Union's Taylor White also had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. VUU's Rahni Bell added 10 points.

The win raised VUU's record to 16-2 overall and 8-2 in the CIAA. The 16 wins are the most for a Lady Panther squad since the 2003-04 team won 24 games.

Winston-Salem State fell to 8-12 overall and 4-7 in CIAA games.

Virginia Union now travels to Salisbury, N.C., to face Livingstone College at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3.
