Box Score Virginia Union University's Brittany Jackson scored 15 points as the Lady Panthers moved to 8-0 on the season by downing the University of Charleston 58-52 on Friday, December 16, in Charleston, W.V.

Forced by Charleston into a slow-paced game, the Lady Panthers showed they could outlast a delay game by outscoring the Golden Eagles in three of the four quarters.

VUU's Ashley Smith scored 11 points while teammate Alexis Johnson grabbed 10 rebounds.

The win kept the Lady Panthers undefeated at 8-0, marking the second consecutive season that a VUU women's team started off with eight straight wins.

Charleston dropped to 4-6 on the season.
