Jayda Luckie scored a career-high 26 points as the Lady Panthers defeated Roberts Wesleyan College 100-89 on Monday, November 21, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Luckie hit 10 of 15 shots from the field while also leading the team with five steals.
VUU's
Lady Walker garnered a double-double with 24 points and 15 rebounds in the win.
Virginia Union's
Brittany Jackson added 12 points while Jacelyn Denkins came off the bench to score 11 points.
The win was the third straight game where the Lady Panthers scored 97 or more points. Â VUU is currently third in the nation in scoring.
The win also raised VUU's record to 3-0 on the season while Roberts Wesleyan fell to 4-2.
Virginia Union now travels to Salisbury, N.C., to play Catawba College at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26.
