Box Score Virginia Union University's Ray Anderson scored 27 points, but Washington Adventist University defeated the Panthers 78-77 in overtime on the second day of the VUU Holiday Inn I-64 West End Classic on Sunday, November 20, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.

Anderson went 13-for-13 from the free throw line in the game.

VUU's Kory Cooley scored 10 points while John Mitchell led the Panthers on the boards with 12 rebounds.

VUU's Ray Anderson and Tavon Mealy were named to the Classic All-Tournament Team along Washington Adventist's Charles Vines and Brian Bridgeforth.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 4-1 on the season while Washington Adventist is now 4-1.

In the first game on Sunday, Post University defeated Elizabeth City State University 68-59 in overtime.

Virginia Union now travels to Atlanta, Ga., to face Morehouse College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26.
