Ray Anderson scored 27 points, but Washington Adventist University defeated the Panthers 78-77 in overtime on the second day of the VUU Holiday Inn I-64 West End Classic on Sunday, November 20, in Historic Barco-Stevens Hall in Richmond, Va.
Anderson went 13-for-13 from the free throw line in the game.

The loss dropped Virginia Union to 4-1 on the season while Washington Adventist is now 4-1.
In the first game on Sunday, Post University defeated Elizabeth City State University 68-59 in overtime.
Virginia Union now travels to Atlanta, Ga., to face Morehouse College at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 26.
